Every one of these started with the same conversation about levels, drainage and what the ground could actually take. That is where the difference in the finished result comes from.
Near Colchester
A failing gravel frontage dug out entirely, rebuilt on a permeable base with granite kerbs, then finished in a seamless resin bound surface with level thresholds at the garage and front door.
Chelmsford
A wide frontage set out around a circular centre feature, with a contrasting double border, fully haunched edge courses and falls taken to a soakaway well clear of the house.
Maldon
A sloping rear garden terraced into three usable levels, with a porcelain terrace, rendered planters, integrated lighting, deep borders and a new lawn laid on cultivated topsoil.
Ipswich
Foundations, drainage diversion, structural steels and a full shell for an open plan kitchen and living space, with the terrace and thresholds built as part of the same contract.
Braintree
A plot taken from clearance through setting out, trench fill foundations, beam and block floor and blockwork to a watertight shell, with building control attended at every stage.
Halstead
Reinforced foundations designed by the project engineer for mixed ground, with reinforcement fixed to specification, pours booked around the weather and every stage photographed.
Sudbury
A rutted rural drive excavated, membrane laid and a deep sub base built and compacted in layers, with edge restraint added so the finished surface holds its shape through winter.
Witham
An old garage and workshop removed under method statement, services isolated, hardcore crushed and reused on site, and the plot handed over level and ready for setting out.
