Most of the plots we take on start with something that has to come down: a tired garage, an old workshop, a run of concrete hardstanding, or a garden that has been left to its own devices for twenty years. We remove it under a written method statement, with the services traced and isolated first and the neighbours told what to expect.
Demolition looks like the crude part of the job. It is not. Every level we cut, every arisings pile we sort and every load we take away decides how straightforward the groundworks are. We finish a clearance at a known, measured level so the next trade can set out from something reliable.

Single garages typically £1,400 to £2,600, concrete breakout from £25 per square metre, full plot clearance priced from a site visit. Guide figures only, because levels, access and drainage decide the final price. Every quotation we issue is fixed and itemised.

How much does it cost to demolish a garage?+
A single garage without asbestos usually runs £1,400 to £2,600 including breaking out the base and taking the material away. An asbestos cement roof adds licensed removal and paperwork, taking it nearer £2,400 to £4,500.
Do I need permission before demolition starts?+
Small domestic outbuildings generally not, but larger structures need a section 80 notice to the local authority, and anything pre 2000 needs an asbestos survey first. We arrange both before a machine arrives.
Can the hardcore be reused rather than tipped?+
Frequently yes. Clean concrete and brick can be crushed on site and reused as sub base, which cuts disposal charges and imported stone in one go. We assess suitability rather than assuming it.
Will my property and the road be protected?+
Yes. Heras fencing, boarded access routes, wheel washing and dust suppression are standard, and neighbours are told the programme before we start rather than after they complain.
Do you clear a plot without doing the groundworks?+
We do, though most clients prefer both under one contract. It means one set of plant on site, spoil handled once, and a measured level handed between the two stages instead of an argument.
